Nopalitos for the Lenten Season

Food dishes most closely associated with the Lenten season are made with Nopalitos. Nopalitos are the diced or chopped tender, young pads of the edible prickly pear cactus. They are a great substitute for meatless dishes.

They can be prepared very quickly and are very versatile. Please see our recipe section for a variety of ways to incorporate nopalitos into your meals.
